We are an independent club of around 200 local people who share a common interest in walking for pleasure in the Sussex countryside.

We usually have an all-day circular walk, typically of 9 - 11 miles, every Sunday all year round and shorter half day walks on most summer Saturdays and some winter Saturdays.

Historic Houses walking week: 9th - 17th July 2016

Petworth House, visited Sunday 17th July
Our walking week concluded with a visit to Petworth House and Pitshill on Sunday 17th July. If you would like to see how our week progressed, please take a look at the daily log on our Historic Houses page. Each day’s walk was written by a different Club Member.

The houses are shown down the left side of this page in the order that they were visited during the week. How many can you recognise? Hover over them to see if you are right.

If you joined us on some or all of the walks, we hope you enjoyed them. Our next week of walking will be in April 2017 when we will have six days of walking taking a group of French walkers from Dieppe around Sussex. Watch this page for further details.

But before then, why not come along to one of our regular Saturday and Sunday walks throughout the rest of the year. There's no need to arrange anything in advance and absolutely nothing to pay, just turn up on the day and enjoy the walk (if it's an all-day walk be sure to bring some lunch and a drink). You can find full details of all our forthcoming walks through to the end of December on our walks page.

If you enjoy walking with us and would like to join our Club — for an annual membership subscription of £8 (see full subscription details), then you can call us on 07842 792962 or contact us from this website.
