We are an independent club of around 200 local people who share a common interest in walking for pleasure in the Sussex countryside.

We usually have an all-day circular walk, typically of 9 - 11 miles, every Sunday all year round and shorter half day walks on most summer Saturdays and some winter Saturdays.

Walking with the Dieppe Randonneurs: 1st - 6th April 2017

Posing for the camera on 1st April
During the first week of April we were joined by our walking friends from Dieppe in an annual exchange that dates back to 1989. One year we visit them for walks in Normandy and the alternate year they visit us. This year we had a mix of half and all day walks covering a swathe of Sussex from Brighton up to Cowfold and across to Chichester and beyond to South Harting. We were fortunate with the weather with 4 days of wall to wall sunshine and only one overcast day and one wet morning. Why not take a look at our summary of the week.

If you are interested to find out how the exchange started, then please take a look at our Walking with the Dieppe Randonneurs page.

You are welcome to join us on any of our regular Saturday and Sunday walks throughout the rest of the year. There's no need to arrange anything in advance and absolutely nothing to pay, just turn up on the day and enjoy the walk (if it's an all-day walk be sure to bring some lunch and a drink).

You can find full details of all our forthcoming walks through to the end of June on our walks page.

If you enjoy walking with us and would like to join our Club — for an annual membership subscription of £8 (see full subscription details), then you can call us on 07842 792962 or contact us from this website.
